The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants to fill the position of the San Antonio Water System Board of Trustee, Southeast Quadrant with a term expiring May 31, 2022. The deadline to apply is October 1, 2021. Applications are available here. Applicants must list their home address on the application for verification of eligibility. The SAWS Board of Trustees consists of the Mayor and six members appointed by the City Council. Trustees must be U.S. citizens and reside either within the area served by SAWS or within the corporate limits of the city. Members are limited to a maximum of two, four-year terms running from June 1 to May 31. Click here for the SAWS quadrant map. SAWS has nearly 1,700 employees and serves 453,000 accounts. It is critically important that this seat be filled by businessmen and women who will use their experience in finance, management, engineering, strategic planning, etc., to provide sage policy direction to SAWS CEO Robert Puente and his team. Plentiful, affordable potable water is necessary for our city to thrive and critical for economic growth. In addition, it will strategically poise San Antonio for success.
